Every sheet is pulled by hand. Some are rough. Some have leaves, fibers, ticket stubs, and weird little marks trapped inside.
That is the point.
GRIMY is a one-person studio turning the stuff people throw away into raw physical objects — paper, zines, prints, marks. No factory. No middle layer. No pretending to be polished.
GROWTH REQUIRES I MEND YESTERDAY.
/ 03 — PROCESS
Leaves, fibers, paper scraps, junk mail — anything heading for the bin.
Soak. Tear. Blend. Until it becomes pulp.
One sheet at a time. Mould and deckle. No machine.
Squeeze the water out. Let it sit. No shortcuts.
Sort. Photograph. Drop in small batches. When it's ready.
